forces to form a bigger and better combined health centre. that consultation process ended with an overwhelming majority in support of us joining together. we also have the support of the local ccg and nhs england following that process. the planned date when all of this was going to happen was 1st april 2018. as these things go, they are always a lot more complicated than you could ever imagine and the process of us joining together has been no different. the aim and intention is still the same. we will be joining together to form a more sustainable and better health centre called ashton medical group. the only thing that has changed is the date when this will occur. until all of our computer systems are merged at the end of june 2018, we will continue to operate as we currently do. this means that the way you interact with the practice will remain the same for the time being. the way you access appointments for the practice will be the same. the way you order and collect your prescriptions will be the same. the telephone number will remain the same. the doctors and nurses that you see and have access to will be the same. the only thing that is changing is that from the 1st april we will align our opening hours with the other two practices. all three practices will therefore be open monday to friday 8am until 6pm excluding bank holidays. this means for the time being tame valley wil no longer offer early morning surgeries on a thursday morning but will be open one hour later than we currently do on thursdays instead. as we begin to align systems and have new telephone systems installed etc, we will notify you in advance via the practice website and in practice of any changes that are about to happen and ensure that you are still able to access practice
